We’re super-duper busy here at Gay Ski Week QT headquarters, planning and organising the final details of GSWQT 2016. We’ve got surprises in store for you (more on that next week) and some special announcements…
Today, we’re proud to announce that My Kitchen Rules celebrity Jordon Bruno was appointed our Australian ambassador for 2016. Jordan and his Mum Anna were a hit on MKR across NZ and Australia and we’re thrilled to have this fabulous pair at our event in Queenstown this August.
‘Out and proud’ Jordan has a long term partner and he’s very vocal about Gay Marriage Equality. Besides being an all-round lovely guy and cooking up a storm on MKR, Jordan’s been working hard with the Australian Marriage Equality campaign in Western Australia.
He says that New Zealand is “one of the leaders for LGTB rights, with a progressive stance on human rights and marriage equality for all. It’s a place that doesn’t discriminate and makes everyone feel welcomed and accepted, which is extraordinarily special.”
“GSWQT is special because it brings people from all over the world and all communities together. It does have its parties, but it is also an event for families and people of all ages too. When Mum asked me if she could attend, I was thrilled! I hope it encourages other family members to come celebrate too. Be proud of who you are!” He added.
Jordan’s bang on, we’ve got a huge range of events for families and people of all ages. So gather your Mum, your Dad and your best friends and organize a trip to Queenstown for eight days and nights of glitz and glamour. There’s a onesie day at Cardona’s epic ski field, a MORE FM comedy night, epic parties and more… check out the events page for tickets and more information about Gay Ski Week QT 2016!
